Arts & Crafts (Mall/Concourse)
- Vending Year - Begins April 15th, ends the following April 14th
- February – Annual application mailing to vendors
- End of March – Site request(s) due from vendors to Street Vending Coordinator
- Dane County Farmers Market Season – Saturdays only - Late April through early November
- Special Events That May Impact Regular Vending Activity:
- Safety Saturday (May – E. and W. Main Street)
- Art Fairs On & Off the Square (June)
- Maxwell Street Days (June)
- Taste of Madison (Labor Day Weekend)
- Food For Thought (September – E. and W. Main Street)
Banners (Campus Drive & Park Street Pedestrian Bridges)
- End of November – Annual application mailing to active applicants on mailing list
- December 31st – Applications due to Street Vending Coordinator with payment
- End of January – Banner assignments completed, some openings may still exist
Camp Randall (High Density Vendors & basic Street Vendors)
- Vending Season – University of Wisconsin home football games, usually 8 games from late August through late November
- End of June - Annual application mailing to Camp Randall High Density Vendors on the mailing list
- End of July – Applications due with payment; site assignments soon follow
Food Vendor: Mall/Concourse
- Vending Year – Begins April 15th ends the following April 14th
- Dane County Farmers Market Season – Saturdays Only - Late April through early November
- June 30th – Health Dept. permits expire (Food & Drink, Mobile Base & Cart)
- September 1st – Mall/Concourse applications due to Street Vending Coordinator for forthcoming vending season beginning on April 15th.
- Last Week of September – Annual Food Cart Review for currently licensed vendors (Monday through Saturday)
- Last Saturday in September – Food Cart Review for new applicants (8 a.m. to noon)
- Food Review scores available within a week after review
- November 1st - New vendors with sufficient Food Cart Review scores may begin to vend on the Mall/Concourse, site determined by Street Vending Coordinator

- February – Annual application mailing to those on mailing list
- Late summer/early autumn – Late afternoon/evening Metro bus stop schedule may change, vendors adjust as needed
Merchant Vendor (Mall/Concourse)
- Vending Season – Begins: April 15th, ends the following April 14th
- February – Annual application mailing

Sidewalk Cafe (Citywide)
- Vending Season – Begins April 15th, ends the following April 14th
- February – Annual application mailing to those on mailing list
Street Vendors – Non-Mall/Concourse
- Vending Season – Begins April 15th, ends the following April 14th.
- Licensing materials are available year-round online or at the City Clerk’s Office
Vending Oversight Committee (VOC)
- The VOC is scheduled to meet on the last Wednesday of the month. There are months when the committee chooses not to meet or reschedules meetings to other days that do not coincide with national holidays. Contact: The Street Vending Coordinator
