FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT
Flexible Spending Account open enrollment will begin on November 2, 2009 and applications must be received in Human Resources by 4:30 p.m. on November 20, 2009. All employees interested in using Flexible Spending Accounts for 2010 must enroll during this time, even if previously enrolled in the program. Failure to enroll will result in non-participation for calendar year 2010.
Please note that while health and dental benefits have been extended to domestic partners and children up to age 27, Flexible Spending Accounts are still bound by IRS definitions of what pre-tax dollars can be used for. Expenses related to domestic partners and non-tax dependent children are not allowed to be reimbursed through Flexible Spending Accounts.
