“Way of the Warrior and the Native American Community.”
Hosts Helen Aarli and Christine Beatty welcome filmmaker, Patty Loew who talks about her film “Way of the Warrior.” This film explores Loew’s forefathers and their roles in wars in this country. Next, Patty Loew’s mother Alice Loew, joins the discussion as mother and daughter talk about the elders roles in Native American Culture and their strong mother/daughter relationship they have.

  • “Physical and Mental Fitness”
    Host Helen Aarli and Christine Beatty chats with renowned dancer and UW Professor Li Chow Ping about some of the classes she has for seniors. Next, they were joined by Susan Swanson, a retired psychotherapist and the Designer and Facilitator of the Get Fit, mental fitness program and Marge Engelman a retired UW professor and author of Aerobic of the Mind to talk about Mental Fitness.

  • “End of Life Issues and Planning”
    Join host Helen Aarli and Christine Beatty as they talk with Jennifer Tiedemann, Community Outreach Coordinator for HospiceCare, Inc about Hospice and all that they offer. Next, they are joined by Grant Nyhammer from the Coalition of Wisconsin Aging Groups to discuss creating legal documents such as living trusts and granting power of attorney to family members.
