LOWER STATE  ST. DETOUR: Literacy Run/Walk
Sunday, October 12; 9:45 AM - 10:30 AM

Due to the Literarcy Run/Walk event, lower State St. (400-600 blocks) will be closed on Sunday, October 12 from 9:45 AM - 10:30 AM.

Routes 4 & 6 will enter and exit State St. using Johnson and Gorham streets during this time.

LOWER STATE  ST. DETOUR: Homecoming Parade
Friday, October 24; Starts at 3 PM

Due to the UW Homecoming Parade, lower State Street (400-600 blocks) closed on Friday, October 24 starting at 3 PM.

Routes 4, 6, and 29 will enter and exit State St. using Johnson & Gorham streets during that time.

ROUTE 85 DETOUR: Homecoming Parade
Friday, October 24; Starts at 4 PM

Due to the UW Homecoming Parade, Route 85 will detour to Park St between University Ave. and Langdon St. starting at 4 PM on Friday, October 24.

WE'RE MOVING: New Office Location
Starting Friday, October 17

Buy passes/10-Ride cards and claim lost and found items at Metro's new office location at 1245 E. Washington Ave. (one block east of our current location).

Please Note: Metro's office will be closed on Thursday, October 16 for the move. Metro customer service representatives will continue to be available during regular office hours throughout Metro's move process.

NEW EAST TOWNE MALL BUS STOP

A new East Towne Mall bus stop is now available.

Buses stop next to the new pedestrian island and bus shelter located in the parking lot outside the Food Court mall entrance.

The stop is located at the end of the new sidewalk leading from the food court entrance through the parking lot towards East Towne Blvd. and E. Washington Ave.

Buses no longer drive along the rear of the mall past the Boston Store entrance area.

Metro fixed-route service ends between 10 PM - 11 PM on Saturday nights. Last trips leave the Camp Randall area at:

Route 2 northbound (University Ave. at Breese Terrace): 10:52 PM

Route 6 westbound (Regent St. at Breese Terrace): 10:38 PM

ROUTE 80 DETOUR: Construction
Now in Effect

Due to ongoing construction, Route 80 buses detour to Walnut St. and Marsh Rd.

The closest bus stops to the UW Hospital & Clinics are located on Marsh Rd. at Lot 60/McClimon track.

MILWAUKEE ST. DETOUR: Bridge Closure
Now in Effect

Affects Route 5, 9, 14 & 15. Buses detour from Milwaukee St. due to the closure of the Starkweather Creek Bridge.

Buses travel on East Washington Ave., Hwy. 30 and Fair Oaks Ave.

This detour is expected to last through the middle of November.

CAPITOL LOOP DETOUR: Construction
Now in Effect

Due to construction, buses are permanently on the Capitol Loop throughout the rest of the summer and into the Fall.

Routes operate one block from the Capitol Square on Doty, Webster, Dayton and Fairchild streets.

Buses are expected to return to the Capitol Square in October.

ROUTE 14, 15 & 39 DETOUR: Buckeye Rd. Reconstruction
Now in Effect

Due to the closure of the Buckeye Rd. bridge over Interstate 90 for reconstruction work, Routes 14, 15 and 39 have been realigned and some schedule times shifted in the area east of the East Transfer Point.

This service realignment permits continued bus service to the Richmond Hill subdivision along Cottontail Trail, but only with trips once every 30 minutes.

Passengers departing from the Kings Mill neighborhood in the AM are only able to ride realigned Route 14 trips.

Passengers returning to the Kings Mill neighborhood in the PM are only able to ride realigned Route 15 trips.

Passengers riding to or from bus stops south of Cottage Grove Rd., between Stoughton Rd. and the Interstate, should also review this service realignment information as trips may be affected.

This detour is expected to end the first week in November.

BUS STOP CLOSED: Wednesday Farmers' Market
Wednesdays; Start of Service through 2:00 PM

During the Wednesday Farmers Market, Routes 1, 11 & 19 will not be able to serve the bus stop on MLK Jr. Blvd in front of the City-County Bldg (ID # 1872) from the start of service through 2 PM.

Routes 1, 11 & 19 passengers are directed to board these routes at either the Main St. at Carroll St. stop (ID # 1101) or on Wilson St. at MLK Jr. Blvd. (ID # 1486).

BUS STOP CLOSED: Charter St. at Johnson St.
Now in Effect

Due to safety concerns, bus stop #0490 on southbound Charter St. at Johnson St. has been closed.

Passengers are directed to use bus stops on Johnson St. at Mills St. (# 0741) or on Charter St. between Linden Dr. & University Ave. (#0706).

Stop #0490 on Charter St. and Johnson St. will reopen once the safety issues have been addressed.
