Profile, Statistics and Indicators
Neighborhood Description: Capital View Neighborhood is nestled on Madison's southside. It is an area of modest single-family homes on large wooded lots and apartment living. One of the best kept secrets of the area is the speculator views of the State Capitol from the hillside running through the neighborhood. The neighborhood is home to Alliant Energy (Expo), Quann Community Gardens, and Quann Park.
Neighborhood Boundaries: Wingra Creek and Olin Avenue on the north, Coliseum/Expo Center and Rimrock Road on the east, the West Beltline Highway on the south, Union & Pacific Railroad on the west
Neighborhood Statistics Indicators: The Neighborhood Indicators Project is a demonstration of key characteristics and various indicators that relate to the quality of life in Madison at the neighborhood level. Basic neighborhood information as well as housing, public safety, health and family well-being, economic, and transportation indicators by neighborhood is available.
