THE PASSING OF JOHN STANLEY

MPD Officers Mourn Coroner's Death

Chief Noble Wray, on behalf of the men and women of the Madison Police Department (MPD), would like to extend condolences to the family of Dane County Coroner John Stanley. Coroner Stanley was a consummate professional, and was considered by many at the MPD to be a close colleague and friend. He worked tirelessly on countless MPD cases. His steady hand, wealth of knowledge, kind manner, and warm smile will be greatly missed. He dealt in death, but it was his way of comforting and helping the living cope with painful losses for which he should be remembered.
