Recently, the Madison Parks Foundation and Event Essentials partnered again to host the second "Picnic in the Park" at Hoyt Park. At this unique fundraising event, you will not find a raffle or auction. Instead, you will see the re-creation of Madison parks inspiring guests to connect to the legacy that continues to preserve the natural spaces of our city.
This historically-themed evening was expertly crafted by Event Essentials featuring valet service, a welcome cocktail, historical photographs and interesting stories, plus a four-course dinner. The event featured 2 short films – the first, the history of Hoyt Park and the second shared the Madison Parks Foundation's board insights.
The amazing food was skillfully created by the locally renowned chefs – Jonny Hunter of Forequarter and the Underground Food Collective and John Gadau and Phil Hurley of Sardine, Gates & Brovi and Marigold Kitchen. Their love of food and parks shined through at the event.
WMTV-NBC15's own John Stofflet emceed a short program that shared the story of the Madison Parks Foundation and our Madison Parks and produced a video showcasing the event.
This event is more than a picnic, more than a fundraiser, it's the celebration of our great Madison parks!
