On Friday June 7th, Madison Police Central District officers stopped in at the Salvation Army Shelter and spent some time with families in planting flowers in their garden.
One of the moms that was there was eager to help as well. She mentioned that she previously worked at a greenhouse and really enjoyed it. Another mom said that her daughter has been anxiously awaiting the officers for the last couple of days. She said that her daughter used to do a lot of gardening with her grandmother, who is now passed away. By the end of the planting, she was able to help teach others how to plant the flowers.
