The Madison Police Department's Safety Education Unit participated at the "Safety Saturday" event held on the Capitol Square this past weekend. In addition to a display of police vehicles, officers answered questions, passed out safety related materials, and interacted with kids. This was also a great opportunity for police to reinforce positive safety messages while kids were having fun. They had an opportunity to try on police equipment while posing for pictures or sitting in the back seat of a real police car!
