MPD's Safety Education Unit is responsible for teaching Classes on Personal Safety (C.O.P.S.) to 4th and 5th grade students throughout the city's public and private elementary schools. The curriculum provides basic information on protective behaviors, gangs, bullying, internet safety, and more. The officers teach in each classroom to which they are assigned for one hour each week for approximately 16 weeks, or one full semester. We would like to congratulate our 4th and 5th graders on their recent COPS graduations and wish them all a happy and safe summer! See you next Fall!
