Yesterday, a group of citizens hosted an MPD appreciation event at the West District station. Over the course of the afternoon, citizens stopped in to meet with officers and enjoy some food. It was a great opportunity for officers and citizens to engage and enjoy a bite to eat.
The event organizers suggested the event and did all of the work to make it happen: obtaining donations from local businesses, decorating the room, bringing food/drink and - most importantly - getting the word out to residents about the event. Attendees signed a large card expressing their appreciation to MPD, and officers really enjoyed a positive event. Thanks for the support!
