Several of us from MPD were fortunate to take part in the first annual (I hope) Back to School Picnic that was organized by Officer Theresa Magyera and Jenifer Vondrak from the West Middleton Elementary School.
As I mentioned in previous blogs, there are about 140 kids who live in The Crossings Neighborhood who attend schools in the Middleton School District. We have been meeting regularly with Principal Katrina Krych and her staff, along with other Middleton School District staff, to see how we can increase positive relationships with families of the kids who attend the school and get them more involved.
We had a fantastic turnout, school forms were filled out, books were given away and stomachs were filled with burgers and hotdogs!
Again, we thank the West Middleton School and district staff for not only talking the talk, but walking the walk and coming out to participate!
