Traffic Safety in the West District

Thank you to the MPD Traffic Enforcement Safety Team for spending time today on S. Junction Rd, South of Mineral Point Road.  This area, formerly Hwy M, has a posted speed limit of 35 mph.  17 cars were stopped for speeding during the two hour initiative with speeds ranging from 48 to 54 miles per hour.  

The Traffic Enforcement Safety Team's mission is to increase public safety on the streets and highways of the City of Madison. Through the use of both enforcement and education, TEST addresses dangerous behaviors that compromise traffic safety.
