Honoring a fallen brother in Milwaukee

Our prayers go out today to our fallen brother Off.  Matthew Rittner, a 17 year veteran of the Milwaukee Police Department.  He was shot and killed in the line of duty while serving a search warrant as a member of the Tactical Enforcement Unit.  Off. Rittner was previously involved in 2 previous incidents where he was part of a team that saved hostages from armed gunmen.

Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers this week.  He is the 3rd officer killed in the line of duty in Milwaukee in the past 8 months.

You will be seeing MPD officers wearing badge covers to mourn Off. Rittner's loss.
