On June 10th Officers from the Madison Police Department conducted an enhanced enforcement project on the Beltline. From 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. officers conducted a total of 28 stops (27 were for speeding and 1 was for 'Failing to Slow/Move Over for Emergency Vehicle'). The highest speed recorded during this effort was 85 MPH (30 MPH over the speed limit). All stops for speeding were for vehicles traveling at least 16 MPH over the limit.
