Yesterday, 7/7/2021, Officers from the Madison Police Department conducted an enhanced traffic enforcement project on the W Beltline Hwy. From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. officers conducted a total of 34 stops focussing on speeding an other hazardous traffic violations. All speeding stops were made for vehicles traveling at least 15 MPH over the posted speed limit (70 MPH), with the highest recorded speed being 79 MPH.
