End of the school year!
Dear Mifflin Street Residents:
Over the past several weeks you may have observed members of my Community Police Team, my Operations Lieutenant E. Marshall, and me walking throughout the Mifflin Street neighborhood, and educating those regarding the non-event formally known as the "Mifflin Street Student Block Party". Historically, we know that the last Saturday in April is to honor the tradition of surviving another school year.
We understand that final exams can be a stressful time for many students, and at the end of the year there is a need to decompress. However, as in previous years, we also understand that the decompression process needs to be a safe process, accompanied with conscious decision making. We have encouraged those intending on having a gathering to follow the guidance provided by the Central District Community Police Team and documented in the attached MPD Party Pamphlet.
Please commemorate the end of your school year by making good decisions, being safe and being responsible.
Central District Captain H. Zanders
