Spruce Up the Midtown Police District

Help Us Spruce Up the Midtown Police District: Volunteers Needed for Spring Gardening and Landscaping!

As the days grow longer and the chill of winter soon begins to fade away, it's the perfect time to prepare for the beauty of spring--especially here in the Midtown Police District! We're reaching out to our wonderful community members to help us maintain and enhance the landscapes and gardens that make our district station so special.

Why Your Help Matters

The Midtown Police District is proud of the beautiful spaces surrounding the station. These areas not only add visual appeal to our streets but also provide vital green spaces that bring tranquility and beauty to our daily lives. However, maintaining these areas requires more than just the occasional mowing or trimming--it takes teamwork, time, and a lot of care.

That's where YOU come in! We're looking for volunteers who are passionate about gardening, landscaping, or simply want to help out to ensure these spaces continue to thrive. Whether you're a seasoned gardener with a green thumb or a beginner eager to learn, we can use your help.

What Volunteers Will Do

Volunteers cam assist with a range of tasks to help keep the Midtown Police District landscaping in top shape, including:

  • Planting and caring for flowers, shrubs, and plants
  • Weeding and mulching garden beds
  • Tending to the "prairie" area with native grasses and wildflowers
  • General upkeep of other greenspaces around the district
  • Pruning and trimming where necessary

A Community Effort

This project is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community. Our officers and district staff appreciate the support from our neighbors and recognize that maintaining beautiful greenspaces takes a village. Whether you have a few hours to spare or want to commit to a longer-term role, every little bit helps! Plus, it's a chance to meet other residents who share your passion for beautifying our district.

How You Can Get Involved

If you're interested in volunteering or would like more information on how you can help, please contact the District Captain.

We know that our neighbors have a lot of talent and love for their community, and we're excited to work alongside you to keep the Midtown Police District looking its best. Your involvement will make a lasting impact on our area, and we couldn't be more grateful.

So, let's roll up our sleeves, get our hands dirty, and make this spring the start of something beautiful in our district!
