Cops in the Community

Last Friday a group of East District officers participated in the Madison Metropolitan School District reading program, Read Your Heart Out. Officers went to Kennedy Elementary School, for the second year, to focus on African American literature and parental involvement in reading day. As a part of this initiative the officers stopped into several classrooms to read to stories by and about African Americans to elementary classes.
