A citizen sent an email to us with the following note of appreciation for the officer.
"I saw an officer try to buy a supposedly homeless man some pizza around 7:15pm today. The shop put it on the house, but I just wanted to make a note because this is really what makes me feel comfortable in Madison. While I've only been living here for about a year, knowing that the police department is actually trying to make the community a better place, and that each individual officer is someone who genuinely cares contributes much to my experience here."
