Domestic Abuse Intervention Services

Domestic violence has been in the news a lot lately, and continues to be an issue that MPD deals with on a consistent basis.  Domestic abuse can happen to anyone, regardless of race, income, education, gender, sexual orientation, age or religion.

Our local domestic abuse agency for Dane County, Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS), offers a variety of resources and services for victims, their family and friends, and for anyone who is unsure if they are in an abusive relationship.  Their website also provides a lot of helpful information for the general public, as well as ways the public can support the DAIS mission.  DAIS has a 24-hour help line at (608) 251-4445 or (800) 747-4045.  The DAIS website is:
