Another Phone Scam

The East District is getting citizen reports of a caller who claims to be with the US Treasury. The calls are coercive, attempting to get citizens to call or face "consequences".

Unsolicited calls with the caller claiming to be a Treasury or IRS agent accompanied by threats of arrest are fraudulent. 

This type of scam can be reported electronically to the Federal government at the following site. The site also has additional information regarding these types of phone scams.

Remember, don't give our personal information or send money unless you can verify who you are dealing with.
