The information provided below about some of the calls officers responded to is derived from notes provided by MPD Officers-In-Charge (OIC) at the end of their shifts. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered by an OIC from those in the field who were actively working cases. The OIC is sharing what they were being told, in the moment. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as officers, detectives and investigators continue their work.
From 6:00 a.m. on 02/03/2020 through 6:00 a.m. on 02/04/2020, MPD received 450 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (83), East (109), Midtown (69), North (57), South (36), West (71), and Other (25). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

MIDTOWN: Check Person – 7:32 a.m. Officers responded to a Midtown district residence for a suicidal subject (61-year-old male). The subject was conveyed to a local hospital for an evaluation/treatment.
MIDTOWN: Domestic Disturbance – 7:55 a.m. Officers responded to a Midtown district residence for a report of a disturbance. Contact was made with a female victim who reported being physically assaulted by a known male suspect. The suspect was contacted and probable cause was developed to arrest him on domestic-related charges.
MIDTOWN: Intoxicated Driver – 8:25 a.m. Officers came upon a crash on S. Segoe Road. An involved driver/suspect (39-year-old male) was determined to be impaired. The suspect was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (5th offense).
SOUTH: Information/Sexual Assault – 11:10 a.m. Officers met with a male subject who reported being sexually assaulted a few days prior. Investigation continuing.
MIDTOWN: Strong Armed Robbery – 11:47 a.m. Officers responded to the Walgreens on Raymond Rd for a robbery. A male suspect entered the store, forcefully stole cigarettes from a clerk and fled on foot. Investigation continuing.
MIDTOWN: Check Person – 12:31 p.m. Officers responded to Memorial High School for a student causing a disturbance and attempting to run into traffic. The student was taken into protective custody and conveyed to a local hospital for an evaluation. Journey Mental Health plugged in. The student was admitted and officers disengaged from the hospital.
CENTRAL: Information/Sexual Assault – 1:45 p.m. Officers met with a male subject who reported being sexually assaulted in 2018 by a former roommate. Investigation continuing.
EAST: Death Investigation – 2:48 p.m. Officers responded to a subject (28-year-old male) slumped over in his vehicle. Lifesaving measures attempted but not successful. Indication of drug use observed. Medical Examiner's office responded. Investigation continuing.
WEST: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 3:42 p.m. Officers received a report of a missing/runaway juvenile (14-year-old male). Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases. Investigation continuing.
NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 5:01 p.m. Officers responded to a North district residence for a domestic disturbance between two subjects (female victim and 37-year-old male suspect). The suspect punched the victim in the head and choked her. The suspect refused to be contacted by officers. Officers decided to disengage from the residence. Probable cause was developed to arrest/charge the suspect for domestic disorderly conduct, battery and strangulation.
EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 7:39 p.m. Officers responded to an East district residence for a disturbance between two subjects (female victim and 40-year-old female suspect). The suspect yelled obscenities at the victim (her mother), poked at her and refused to leave the residence. Officers arrived and the suspect was no longer on scene. Probable cause was developed to arrest/charge the suspect with domestic disorderly conduct.
EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 9:41 p.m. Officers responded to an East district residence for a disturbance between two subjects (female victim and 54-year-old female suspect). The suspect broke property and threatened to burn down the residence. The suspect had access to lighter fluid. There were children present during the disturbance. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and bail jumping.

WEST: Adult Arrested Person – 12:51 a.m. Officers made contact with a 26-year-old male suspect due to allegations that he was contacting a subject whom he has orders (stalking letter) to stay away from/not contact. Probable cause was developed to arrest/charge the suspect with stalking and bail jumping.
EAST: Death Investigation – 1:20 a.m. Officers responded to an assisting living facility for a pulseless non-breathing subject (72-year-old female). The subject was pronounced deceased. Nothing suspicious identified. Medical Examiner's office responded.
SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 1:47 a.m. Officers responded to a South district residence for a domestic disturbance involving two male victims and a 28-year-old male suspect). The suspect caused a physical altercation and armed himself with a knife. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed (two counts), battery and domestic battery.
