The information provided below about some of the calls officers responded to is derived from notes provided by MPD Officers-In-Charge (OIC) at the end of their shifts. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered by an OIC from those in the field who were actively working cases. The OIC is sharing what they were being told, in the moment. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as officers, detectives and investigators continue their work.
From 6:00 a.m. on 11/03/2021 through 6:00 a.m. on 11/04/2021, MPD received 339 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (59),East (62), Midtown (54), North (65), South (27), West (55), and Other (17). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 6:46 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 24-year-old male suspect. Suspect not contacted/located. Probable cause developed to arrest the suspect once he is located.
NORTH: Crash – 6:54 a.m. Officers responded to a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian crash. Pedestrian conveyed to a local hospital for an evaluation/treatment. Driver remained on scene. Investigation continuing.
MIDTOWN: Armed Robbery – 7:49 a.m. Officers met with a victim who reported being robbed (money and cell phone) earlier in the morning by an acquaintance. Investigation continuing. **Victim later advised the suspect gave him the money back and he no longer wanted to pursue charges.
SOUTH: Child Abuse – 10:39 a.m. Officers received a report of sexual assault of a child. Child Protective Services plugged in. Investigation continuing.
EAST: Fight Call – 4:25 p.m. Officers responded to the mall for a report of a fight/disturbance. A 30-year-old female suspect was identified and probable cause was developed to charge her. Suspect is at-large.
CENTRAL: Fraud – 5:34 p.m. Officers received a fraud complaint involving a recently terminated employee of a business. Investigation continuing.
EAST: Sexual Assault – 6:00 p.m. Officers received a report of sexual assault of a child. Child Protective Services notified. Investigation continuing.
WEST: Residential Burglary – 10:19 p.m. A vehicle was broken into in an underground parking structure. Items were stolen from the vehicle.
WEST: Residential Burglary – 11:40 p.m. Officers responded to a residential burglary where items were missing/stolen from the home. No signs of forced entry. Investigation continuing.
SOUTH: Armed Robbery – 11:48 p.m. Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery. There was a delay in this incident being reported to police. A handgun was displayed by one of the suspects. The victim gave the suspects money. Investigation continuing.
