The information provided below about some of the calls officers responded to is derived from notes provided by MPD Officers-In-Charge (OIC) at the end of their shifts. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered by an OIC from those in the field who were actively working cases. The OIC is sharing what they were being told, in the moment. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as officers, detectives and investigators continue their work.
From 6:00 a.m. on 03/14/2022 through 6:00 a.m. on 03/15/2022, MPD received 381 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (56),East (75), Midtown (52), North (80), South (41), West (57), and Other (20). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
03/14
CENTRAL: Crash – 6:15 a.m. Officers responded to a single vehicle vs. pole crash. The driver/suspect (18-year-old female) was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense), felony bail jumping (2 counts) and issued several traffic citations.
NORTH: Death Investigation – 6:56 a.m. Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (51-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Decedent had a history of medical/health concerns. Nothing suspicious identified.
NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 7:27 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for violating a protection order and for a probation/parole hold.
CENTRAL: Arson – 7:33 a.m. Officers responded to an alleged arson call. The complainant reported that their Ukrainian flag was missing today and remnants of burnt debris was in its place. Investigation continuing.
EAST: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 9:37 a.m. A 15-year-old female was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.
EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 12:59 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 36-year-old female suspect. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
CENTRAL: Sexual Assault – 1:13 p.m. Officers received a report of sexual assault of a victim by a known acquaintance/suspect (28-year-old male). Investigation continuing.
MIDTOWN: Adult Arrested Person – 5:04 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a subject/suspect (37-year-old male) exposing himself. The suspect was arrested for lewd/lascivious behavior.
CITY-WIDE: Assist Police – 7:32 p.m. Officers assisted with looking for a missing subject from McFarland. Subject located safe.
NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 8:44 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
NORTH: Crash – 9:42 p.m. Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash. A 14-year-old male driver/suspect was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense) and driving without a valid driver's license.

SOUTH: Traffic Stop – 1:06 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted. A passenger/suspect (38-year-old female) was arrested for possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony bail jumping, a probation hold and probable cause for felony retail theft. The driver was cited for operating after revocation.
EAST: Weapons Offense – 3:57 a.m. Officers responded to a 911 disconnect call. While enroute officers were advised that a subject showed up a fire station with stab wounds. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital. Investigation continuing.
