The information provided below about some of the calls officers responded to is derived from notes provided by MPD Officers-In-Charge (OIC) at the end of their shifts. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered by an OIC from those in the field who were actively working cases. The OIC is sharing what they were being told, in the moment. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as officers, detectives and investigators continue their work.
From 6:00 a.m. on 03/30/2022 through 6:00 a.m. on 03/31/2022, MPD received 268 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (47),East (54), Midtown (38), North (49), South (27), West (34), and Other (19). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 5:09 p.m. to 11:12 p.m. due to calls for service.
MIDTOWN: Disturbance – 6:34 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.
SOUTH: Adult Arrested Person – 10:36 a.m. A 58-year-old female wanted suspect was observed and contacted on W. Olin Ave. The suspect was arrested for outstanding charges (disorderly conduct and bail jumping).
WEST: Disturbance – 4:17 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving numerous subjects. Several subjects contacted who were uncooperative with officers. One of the suspects, no longer on scene, has been identified. Probable cause developed. Investigation continuing.
CENTRAL: Homicide – 5:00 p.m. Officers responded to a subject shot in the 200 block of S. Carroll St. The victim succumbed to their injuries. Multiple persons of interest were taken into custody. Incident Report on MPD's website completed. Investigation continuing.
SOUTH: Hit-and-Run/Crash – 5:10 p.m. Victim's reported their vehicle was struck by another vehicle (involved in the homicide listed above) in the area of W. Badger Rd and S. Park St. Victim not injured.
WEST: Disturbance – 8:28 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 17-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct (8 counts), battery (7 counts), disarming a police officer (2 counts) and battery to a police officer. Incident Report on MPD's website completed.
MIDTOWN: Check Person – 9:57 p.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. Subject contacted and taken into protective custody. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Journey Mental Health consulted. Subject voluntarily admitted and officers disengaged.
MIDTOWN: Armed Robbery – 11:35 p.m. Officers responded to Capital Petro Mart on Verona Rd for an armed robbery. The suspect demanded money and displayed a knife. The suspect fled and remains at-large. Incident Report on MPD's website completed.

MIDTOWN: Weapons Violation – 2:54 a.m. Officers responded to Tokay Blvd for reports of shots fired. Casings were located. No reported injuries or property damage at this time. Incident Report on MPD's website completed.
