The information provided below about some of the calls officers responded to is derived from notes provided by MPD Officers-In-Charge (OIC) at the end of their shifts. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered by an OIC from those in the field who were actively working cases. The OIC is sharing what they were being told, in the moment. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as officers, detectives and investigators continue their work.
From 6:00 a.m. on 04/18/2022 through 6:00 a.m. on 04/19/2022, MPD received 384 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (63),East (74), Midtown (59), North (71), South (40), West (51), and Other (26). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

NORTH: Disturbance – 3:17 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 44-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for resisting, an outstanding warrant, felony bail jumping (5 counts) and misdemeanor bail jumping (1 count).
WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 8:58 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 27-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
CENTRAL: Non-Residential Burglary – 3:52 p.m. Probable cause developed to arrest a 28-year-old male suspect for burglary (2 counts) once he is located after video evidence shows him entering an apartment complex and steals two bikes.
EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 4:00 p.m. A 49-year-old male suspect was taken into custody on a probation hold.
CENTRAL: Domestic Disturbance – 4:03 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 24-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed, domestic false imprisonment and resisting.
NORTH: Disturbance – 4:18 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 22-year-old male suspect. The suspect was not on scene when officers arrived. Probable cause developed to arrest the suspect once he is located.
CENTRAL: Stolen Auto – 5:02 p.m. A vehicle was reported stolen. The vehicle was left running, unoccupied and unlocked. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.
CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 6:33 p.m. A 31-year-old male suspect was arrested for bail jumping after he was found to be impaired and had a court order to not consume alcohol.
NORTH: Adult Arrested Person – 7:20 p.m. A 20-year-old male suspect was observed entering a business through a broken window. The suspect was arrested for trespass and resisting.
CENTRAL: Death Investigation – 8:23 p.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. Entry made to the residence and the subject (59-year-old male) was located deceased. Investigation continuing.
EAST: Check Area – 9:48 p.m. Officers responded to Piccadilly Drive for several reports of shots fired. Areas checked. No evidence of shots fired located.
