The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 06/21/2022 through 6:00 a.m. on 06/22/2022, MPD received 446 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (78),East (104), Midtown (66), North (72), South (32), West (71), and Other (23). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

CENTRAL: Death Investigation – 7:32 a.m. Officers responded to an unresponsive subject (58-year-old male). Lifesaving measures attempted but not successful. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
EAST: Crash – 8:44 a.m. Officers responded to a vehicle vs motorcycle crash. Witnesses reported the motorcycle driver was driving in a reckless manner. The motorcycle driver sustained significant but non-life threatening injuries and was conveyed to a local hospital. Investigation continuing.
MIDTOWN: Traffic Arrest – 9:41 a.m. Traffic stop was conducted and the driver/suspect (26-year-old male) was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, going armed with a firearm while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance and cited for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, speeding, illegal window tint and possession of drug paraphernalia.
MIDTOWN: Sexual Assault of a Child – 10:20 a.m. Officers met with a victim who reported being sexually assaulted. Child Protective Services plugged in. Investigation continuing.
EAST: Crash – 12:03 p.m. Officers responded to a motorcycle crash on E. Washington/MacArthur Rd. The motorcycle driver was conveyed to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver was cited for unsafe lane deviation, failure to have control of his vehicle and operating after revocation.
WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 1:33 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance. The primary aggressor was under a Chapter 51 return. Journey Mental Health plugged in for a placement. Probable cause also developed to arrest the subject/suspect. The subject was subsequently transported to Winnebago.
EAST: Death Investigation – 2:25 p.m. Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (57-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
EAST: Mental Health Conveyance – 3:04 p.m. Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention/transport. The subject was transported to Winnebago.
NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 5:08 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male suspect. The suspect was not on scene when officers arrived. Probable cause developed to arrest the suspect once he is located.
SOUTH: Weapons Violation – 7:31 p.m. Officers responded to a residence after the caller reported their minor shot a round into the woods. The casing was recovered. The 13-year-old male was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon.
MIDTOWN: Disturbance – 8:48 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a subject with an active Chapter 51 return. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital. Final outcome pending.
WEST: Child Abuse – 9:35 p.m. Officers responded to a child abuse allegation. Suspect was identified and is at-large. Child Protective Services notified. Investigation continuing.
NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 10:29 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 70-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for domestic battery.
CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 10:56 p.m. A 35-year-old male suspect was arrested on an outstanding warrant. The suspect was transported to jail.
SOUTH: Trespassing – 11:27 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a suspect (41-year-old male) refusing to leave the premises of a business. The suspect was arrested for trespassing and misdemeanor bail jumping.

MIDTOWN: Disturbance – 2:51 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 33-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
EAST: Check Person – 4:18 a.m. Officers responded to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital. Investigation continuing.
