The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 09/14/2022 through 6:00 a.m. on 09/15/2022, MPD received 440 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (75),East (89), Midtown (67), North (78), South (48), West (62), and Other (21). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

WEST: Check Person – 8:49 a.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. Entry made to the residence and the subject was located down on the floor, awake and responsive, but confused. MFD/EMS responded and conveyed the subject to a local hospital. Nothing suspicious identified.
WEST: Stolen Auto – 11:10 a.m. A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired.
WEST: Theft from Auto – 12:52 p.m. Items reported stolen from a vehicle, including a firearm. Investigation continuing.
CENTRAL: Domestic Disturbance – 12:53 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 54-year-old male suspect. Suspect at-large. Probable cause developed to arrest the suspect once he is located.
NORTH: Death Investigation – 4:23 p.m. Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (51-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
NORTH: Disturbance – 5:06 p.m. A victim reported that her ex/suspect (24-year-old male) pointed a gun at her. The suspect was not located/contacted. Safety plan with victim developed. Probable cause developed to arrest the suspect once he is located.
SOUTH: Check Person – 8:15 p.m. Officers responded to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital where he was voluntarily admitted.
CENTRAL: Disturbance – 11:50 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance. A 41-year-old male was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting. A 59-year-old male was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and resisting.
