The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 10/26/2022 through 6:00 a.m. on 10/27/2022, MPD received 422 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (71),East (89), Midtown (86), North (59), South (41), West (59), and Other (17). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

EAST: Residential Burglary – 6:37 a.m. Officers responded to a residential burglary that occurred overnight. Suspect gained entry to the garage by using the garage door opener in an unlocked vehicle in the driveway. Items stolen from the garage.
EAST: Disturbance – 8:15 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 16-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct.
NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 11:24 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
CENTRAL: Disturbance – 11:51 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 55-year-old female suspect. The suspect was arrested for state misuse of 911 system and bail jumping.
NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 2:11 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct, domestic disorderly conduct and resisting.
NORTH: Weapons Violation – 5:45 p.m. Officers responded to a report of shots fired. No injuries or property damage reported. Casings located in the street. Suspect remains at-large.
MIDTOWN: Crash – 6:56 p.m. Officers responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash. The pedestrian sustained non-life threatening injuries. The driver (31-year-old male) was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
MIDTOWN: Mental Health Conveyance – 6:58 p.m. Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. Subject transported to Winnebago.
NORTH: Battery – 7:43 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a battery. A juvenile reported being physically assaulted during lunch at school. Investigation continuing.
SOUTH: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 8:31 p.m. A 15-year-old female was reported as missing/runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.
EAST: Weapons Offense – 8:59 p.m. Officers responded to a convenience store after sounds of shots fired were heard. A window to the store was broken. Investigation continuing.
EAST: Damage to Property – 9:14 p.m. A victim reported damage to his vehicle after hearing a loud pop. Unknown what caused the damage at this time.
CENTRAL: Check Person – 10:15 p.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was contacted and an emergency detention was not approved. The subject/suspect (46-year-old male) was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

SOUTH: Check Property – 12:42 a.m. Officers responded to a report of shots fired. No evidence of shots fired located at this time. No reported injuries or property damage.
SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 2:02 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 43-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
