The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 12/27/2022 through 6:00 a.m. on 12/28/2022, MPD received 298 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (48),East (80), Midtown (40), North (44), South (28), West (44), and Other (14). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

NORTH: Drug Incident – 6:07 a.m. Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive subject. Naloxone administered and CCR performed. The subject was revived and conveyed to a local hospital. Investigation continuing.
MIDTOWN: Death Investigation – 6:42 am. Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (23-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns. Nothing suspicious identified.
WEST: Threats Complaint – 12:15 p.m. A business reported a male subject made a threats complaint. K9 cleared two businesses with nothing suspicious located. Investigation continuing.
CENTRAL: Theft – 3:46 p.m. A 25-year-old male was given an order-in for theft after a business discovered he was stealing the weekly deposits from them.
SOUTH: Adult Arrested Person – 4:45 p.m. A 59-year-old male suspect was arrested for outstanding warrants and bail jumping.
MIDTOWN: Missing/Runaway Juvenile – 6:00 p.m. A 12-year-old female who was reported missing/runaway earlier in the month called police to report that she was "drugged." Officers made contact with the juvenile and had her conveyed to a local hospital for an evaluation. The juvenile has a history of running away and there were no concerns identified for her care by her guardians. The juvenile was returned to her home.
NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 9:52 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old male suspect. The suspect was not on scene when officers arrived. Probable cause developed to arrest the suspect once he is located.
EAST: Detox Conveyance – 11:09 p.m. A subject was conveyed to detox after he was found to be heavily intoxicated and was having suicidal thoughts.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 12:10 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 52-year-old male suspect. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic strangulation and possession of cocaine.
