The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 04/14/2023 through 6:00 a.m. on 04/17/2023, MPD received 1,210 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (232), East (229), Midtown (193), North (202), South (136), West (159), and Other (59). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

04/14

Priority calls only from 11:15 a.m. to 1:55 p.m. due to calls for service.

Priority calls only from 6:12 p.m. to 11:07 p.m. due to calls for service.

NORTH: Death Investigation – 7:13 a.m.  Officers responded to a residence where a 43-year-old man was found deceased.  Nothing suspicious on scene.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 10:00 a.m.  Officers contacted a 37-year-old male subject wanted on multiple charges.  The subject was taken into custody without incident.

CENTRAL: Sexual Assault – 10:46 a.m.  A victim reported a known subject sexually assaulted her.  Investigation continuing.

MIDTOWN: Disturbance – 12:27 p.m.  Officers responded to West High School for a report of a fight.  One student was cited for resisting and disorderly conduct.

SOUTH: Death Investigation – 12:34 p.m.  Officers discovered a 32-year-old man deceased in his apartment due to an apparent drug overdose.  Nothing suspicious on scene.

WEST: Weapons Offense – 12:46 p.m.  Officers responded to a residence where the 60-year-old male subject threatened the victim with a knife.  The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.

WEST: Check Person – 4:20 p.m.  Officers responded to a residence for a suicidal subject.  MFD paramedics transported the subject to a hospital where she was left in the care of medical staff.

MIDTOWN: Weapons Offense – 4:54 p.m.  Officers responded to a hospital to make contact with a patient who had stab wounds.  The victim did not provide much information and police were unable to identify a suspect.  Investigation continuing.

WEST: Disturbance – 6:07 p.m.  Officers responded to the adolescent psychiatric hospital for a patient who damaged computers and threw food around the facility.  Officers deescalated the juvenile who was then transported to a different hospital.

NORTH: Weapons Offense – 8:12 p.m.  Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject.  The subject pointed a gun at a woman.  The subject was arrested for physical abuse to a child, 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct while armed, and resisting/obstructing.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 11:12 p.m.  Officers made contact with a 24-year-old female subject who had a warrant for her arrest.  The subject was taken into custody without incident and booked into jail.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 12:02 a.m.  Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 23-year-old male subject.  The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.

CENTRAL: Disturbance – 12:14 a.m.  A disturbance was called in involving juvenile females armed with tasers.  Officers in the 500 block of State St observed two subjects (16- and 15-year-old females) in possession of a taser.  Both subjects were conveyed to the Juvenile Reception Center on charges of possessing an electric weapon and resisting.

CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 12:47 a.m.  Officers observed a 22-year-old male subject who had a warrant for his arrest.  The subject was taken into custody without incident.

SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 2:06 a.m.  Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 27-year-old male subject.  The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespass. 

CENTRAL: Check Person – 2:29 a.m.  Officers responded to the 400 block of W Johnson St for a 26-year-old male subject who was jumping in front of cars on the roadway.  The subject was arrested for resisting, bail jumping, and sudden pedestrian movement.

WEST: Residential Burglary – 7:24 a.m. A resident reported two vehicles were stolen from her home as well as a purse and car keys from inside the residence.  Attempt to locate the vehicles aired. The vehicles were listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

EAST: Residential Burglary – 9:15 a.m. A resident reported her home was entered, ransacked and items were stolen. Investigation continuing.

WEST: Residential Burglary – 9:38 a.m.  Officers responded to a home where unknown subject(s) entered the home through an unlocked garage door and stole a purse as well as a vehicle from the garage.  Attempt to locate the vehicle aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

SOUTH: Child Neglect – 10:00 a.m.  Dispatch received a call where the call taker heard a small child talking.  Officers responded to the residence and found two young children home alone.  The mother of the children was contacted. Child Protective Services responded. Investigation continuing.

NORTH: Trespass – 12:26 p.m.  Officers responded to the Willy St Co-op where a 40-year-old male subject was trespassing.  The subject was arrested and conveyed to jail as he was repeatedly located on the premises after being notified that he was banned.

CENTRAL: Stolen Auto – 12:50 p.m. A vehicle was reported stolen from the street. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

WEST: Crash – 2:32 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Mineral Point Rd/D'onofrio Drive for a report of a hit-and-run injury crash. The victim/vehicle was struck by a vehicle that was stolen and the subjects of the stolen vehicle fled on foot. A stolen firearm was located/recovered in the stolen vehicle. The victim was conveyed to a local hospital. Investigation continuing.

EAST: Disturbance – 3:58 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 55-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and felony bail jumping.

NORTH: Disturbance – 4:34 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a female subject being assaulted and forced into a vehicle. Vehicle and subjects identified.  Attempts to locate aired. Investigation continuing. *Subjects located and contacted. Probable cause not developed initially. Additional information obtained after subjects released which led to probable cause being developed (subject to be arrested once located).

NORTH: Death Investigation – 6:51 p.m. Officers responded to a residence for a report of a deceased subject (66-year-old male subject). Medical Examiner's office responded. Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns. Nothing suspicious identified.

SOUTH: Intoxicated Driver – 8:07 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a vehicle on a curb at a convenience store with the driver (36-year-old female) unconscious. MFD also responded and was able to revive the subject (Naloxone administered). There were 3 children in the vehicle. Drug paraphernalia located on the subject. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital. Charges – operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (4th offense) with passengers under the age of 16 and possession of drug paraphernalia. Children placed with another family member.

NORTH: Death Investigation – 8:37 p.m. Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject (63-year-old female). Entry made to the residence and the subject was located deceased. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

WEST: Weapons Offense – 9:07 p.m. The caller/subject (27-year-old male) reported he put a round through his bedroom wall while cleaning his firearm. The caller was cited for negligent discharge.

Priority calls only from 4:09 p.m. to 8:57 p.m. due to calls for service.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 12:03 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 39-year-old male subject. The subject stole the victim's vehicle. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, theft, operating a motor vehicle without consent, a probation violation and an outstanding warrant.

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 1:02 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a 39-year-old male subject who was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the premises. The subject was arrested for trespassing, resisting, discharging bodily fluids at a public safety worker and misdemeanor bail jumping.

EAST: Violation of a Court Order – 4:36 a.m. Officers located a vehicle disabled on the ramp from Cottage Grove Rd to SB Stoughton Rd (blocking the roadway). Vehicle towed. The subject (42-year-old male) that was driving the vehicle showed up at his ex's home and tried to gain entry. The victim has a no-contact order from the subject. K9 responded to assist in locating the subject who left the residence. Subject not located. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject once he is located.

SOUTH: Stolen Auto – 8:41 a.m. A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

EAST: Check Area – 9:38 a.m. Officers responded for a report of shots fired. Areas checked. No evidence of shots fired located. No reported injuries or property damage.

MIDTOWN: Adult Arrested Person – 11:30 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a naked subject (34-year-old male) who was bleeding. Subject located and conveyed to a local hospital. The subject was subsequently arrested for criminal trespassing and criminal damage to property.

MIDTOWN: Check Person – 1:15 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a subject on the ground bleeding. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital. No signs of a disturbance. Investigation continuing.

NORTH: Armed Robbery – 1:27 p.m. A victim arranged to meet a subject to sell some shoes. Two subjects showed up to meet the victim. A handgun was displayed by one of the subjects and the shoes were stolen. Investigation continuing.

NORTH: Death Investigation – 3:20 p.m. Two subjects were located deceased in a residence in the 2800 block of Moland St.  MPD Incident Report completed. Investigation continuing.

SOUTH: Check Area – 5:25 p.m. Officers responded to numerous reports of shots fired in the 2900 block of Coho St. Casings located. No reported injuries. Property damage located. Investigation continuing.

EAST: Domestic Disturbance – 5:36 p.m. A call originating in another county as a rolling domestic came into the city. Officers responded to a report of the vehicle/subjects involved being in the parking lot at East Towne Mall. One subject (victim) contacted with the other subjects no longer on scene. Waukesha Police Department located and took into custody one of the involved subjects (30-year-old female). The subject was arrested on numerous charges – domestic 2nd degree reckless endangering safety and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence with a passenger under the age of 16. Other charges forthcoming.

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 11:19 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance. A 25-year-old male subject and a 21-year-old female subject were arrested for disorderly conduct. The male subject was also charged with domestic damage to property. The female subject was also charged with resisting.

04/17

WEST: Adult Arrested Person – 2:49 a.m. Officers responded to an alarm at a business and observed a 22-year-old male subject fleeing from the area. The subject was apprehended. The subject was arrested for attempted burglary, criminal damage to property, possession of burglary tools and resisting.
