The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 11/21/2023 through 6:00 a.m. on 11/22/2023, MPD received 447 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (54),East (98), Midtown (73), North (91), South (45), West (75), and Other (11). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

MIDTOWN: Check Person – 6:04 a.m. Officers responded to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was contacted and transported to a local hospital voluntarily. Journey Mental Health consulted. Final outcome pending.
WEST: Theft – 11:03 a.m. A firearm, a cell phone and other personal belongings were reported as stolen from a vehicle. The firearm was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.
EAST: Check Person – 11:58 a.m. A subject was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. Journey Mental Health plugged in. Final outcome pending.
EAST: Disturbance – 2:13 p.m. Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 13-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
CENTRAL: Adult Arrested Person – 2:23 p.m. A 28-year-old male subject was arrested for retail theft, resisting, felony bail jumping and numerous bench warrants.
NORTH: Adult Arrested Person – 3:09 p.m. A 30-year-old male subject, wanted, was taken into custody on outstanding charges (eluding, felony bail jumping and a probation violation).
CENTRAL: Assist EMS – 5:22 p.m. Officers responded to a pulseless non-breathing subject. CPR performed. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital in stable condition.
WEST: Road Rage – 6:39 p.m. Officers responded to road rage incident. A 19-year-old female subject was cited for deviating from traffic lane. A second 19-year-old female subject was cited for disorderly conduct for her role in the incident.
MIDTOWN: Mental Health Conveyance – 9:43 p.m. Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. Journey Mental Health plugged in. The subject was transported to Winnebago.
NORTH: Adult Arrested Person – 9:52 p.m. A 59-year-old male subject was arrested for possession of meth during a traffic stop.

NORTH: Assist Other Agency – 12:06 a.m. MPD assisted the Dane County Sheriff's office with a traffic stop/arrest. A 36-year-old male subject was arrested on numerous charges from the County and MPD (burglary).
