The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to in a twenty-four (24) periods. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 03/18/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 03/19/2024, MPD received 418 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (59), East (79), Midtown (84), North (78), South (44), West (64), and Other (10). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

MIDTOWN: Death Investigation – 7:20 a.m. Officers responded to a residence where a 67-year-old man was found deceased. Nothing suspicious on scene.
MIDTOWN: Suspicious Vehicle – 8:37 a.m. Officers receive a report about a suspicious vehicle. Vehicle is located and officers disengage.
MIDTOWN: Adult Arrested Person – 8:59 a.m. A 41-year-old female suspect was arrested for trespassing.
EAST: Drug Incident/Investigation – 9:59 a.m. A 21-year-old female suspect observed with drugs and is arrested for several drug charges including possession with intent to deliver. A male was found passed out and impaired during a search of her hotel room. He was wanted for a parole hold and warrants. Another woman left the room as officers responded and was taken into custody nearby on drug charges.
MIDTOWN: Death Investigation – 11:14 a.m. Officers responded to a residence where a 51-year-old man was found deceased. Nothing suspicious on scene.
MIDTOWN: Death Investigation – 12:57 p.m. Lifesaving efforts attempted on a 69-year-old man at a residence. Nothing suspicious at the scene.
NORTH: Theft – 1:53 p.m. Witness see man stealing items from the back of a trailer. Probable cause developed.
MIDTOWN: Mental Health Response – 1:44 p.m. Woman found lying in road. Journey Mental Health consulted.
NORTH: Violation of Court Order – 5:28 p.m. Suspect violated a 72-hour no contact order.
EAST: Mental Health Response – 6:28 p.m. Mental Health Officers talked with woman over the phone after she made threats of self-harm. Journey Mental Health consulted.
MIDTOWN: Missing Juvenile/Runaway– 6:58 p.m. Juvenile reported missing. Information entered into appropriate databases.
SOUTH: Mental Health Response – 7:05 p.m. Officers responded after man made suicidal thoughts. Man taken to the hospital for additional help.
NORTH: Mental Health Response – 7:34 p.m. Officers responded after man made concerning remarks to a friend. Journey Mental Health consulted.
WEST: Child Neglect – 9:20 p.m. Officers respond to a residence. CPS contacted.
SOUTH: Mental Health Response – 9:53 p.m. Officers respond after man shared suicidal thoughts. Man taken to the hospital for additional help.
EAST: Weapons Offense – 11:13 p.m. A 26-year-old male suspect displayed a handgun during an argument. Suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed and 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety.
CENTRAL: Domestic Disturbance – 11:41 p.m. Officers initially dispatched for a road rage incident. Officers intercept vehicles. A 29-year-old male suspect refuses to exit his vehicle. He is arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and outstanding probable cause. Officer sustained minor injury during this incident.
