The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 4/17/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 4/18/2024, MPD received 464 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (69),East (105), Midtown (82), North (70), South (69), West (62), and Other (7). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 9:57pm-11:42pm due to calls for service.
East/Sexual Assault – A victim reported being approached and touched inappropriately by an unknown male subject. Investigation continuing.
West/Battery – 5:32am: Officers responded to a battery involving a male subject (not on scene). Probable cause established to arrest the subject, once he is located.
West/Adult Arrested Person – 2:16pm: A community member was walking their dog when a 43-year-old male subject opened his apartment door completely naked and stared at the community member. The subject came outside, walked around and stood in the middle of the street naked. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, lewd/lascivious behavior and misdemeanor bail jumping (4 counts).
Midtown/Mental Health Response – 2:32pm: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of a Chapter 51 return. Arrangements made for transportation to Winnebago.
West/Disturbance – 3:43pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct (2 counts) and battery.
North/Armed Robbery – 9:32pm: A male subject demanded money, while implying he had a weapon, at Perkins on Hayes Rd. The subject fled with an undisclosed amount of money. Investigation continuing.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 1:52am: Officers responded to a report of a restraining order violation involving a 19-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, domestic disorderly conduct, false imprisonment, intimidation of a victim and violation of a restraining order.
