The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Tuesday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 5/31/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 6/3/2024, MPD received 1,292 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (275),East (239), Midtown (204), North (208), South (149), West (186), and Other (31). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

West/Intoxicated Driver – 4:29am: Officers responded to a vehicle vs. pole crash. The driver (46-year-old male) was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense) and resisting. The driver was also issued citations for operating while revoked and failure to maintain control.

Central/Disturbance – 8am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 45-year-old male subject. Investigation continuing.

South/Drug Incident – 8:50am: Officers responded to a report of a potential overdose involving a 46-year-old male). The subject was arrested for possession of heroin, felony bail jumping, and misdemeanor bail jumping.

Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 8:59am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 45-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for battery and an outstanding warrant.

East/Mental Health Conveyance – 9:52am: Officers responded to a disturbance. Contact made with the subjects. Journey Mental Health consulted. The subject was transported to a local hospital where an emergency detention was sought/approved. The subject was subsequently transported/placed at a local facility.

Midtown/Disturbance – 11:31am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving OC spray. Investigation continuing.

North/Mental Health Conveyance – 2:07pm: Officers responded to check the welfare of a subject running in the street and destroying a residence. The subject was transported to a local hospital. CARES plugged in. Safety plan created and the subject was released to their parents.

West/PNB – 3:38pm: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (38-year-old male). Officers performed lifesaving measures which were successful. The subject collapsed after performing hill sprints. The subject was transported to a local hospital conscious, breathing, and awake.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 4:42pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 32-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

North/Death Investigation – 6:44pm: Officers responded to a pulseless non-breathing subject (67-year-old male). Lifesaving measures attempted but not successful.  The decedent had a history of medical/health concerns. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

South/Adult Arrested Person – 6:51pm: Officers responded to a road rage incident where a gun was displayed. A 31-year-old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and felon in possession of a firearm. A long gun was recovered.

Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 10:19pm: An officer observed a disturbance take place involving a 44-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting, and bail jumping.

North/Adult Arrested Person – 1:08am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.

Midtown/Disturbance – 5:39am: Officers responded to a report of a subject being pistol whipped. Two subjects detained. A handgun was located/recovered. A 60-year-old male subject was arrested for armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, felon in possession of a firearm, and endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon. A 41-year-old male subject was arrested for battery and felon in possession of a firearm.

West/Trespass – 12:05pm: Officers responded to a trespass complaint involving a 26-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for resisting and issued a municipal citation for trespassing.

East/Check Property – 12:10pm: Officers responded, along with MFD, to a report of smoke in a building. Small fire located and extinguished. No injuries reported.

South/Child Abuse – 1:04pm: Officers responded to a report of child abuse. Child Protective Services notified. Probable cause not established at this time. Investigation continuing.

Central/Death Investigation – 1:33pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (54-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy pending.

North/Adult Arrested Person – 3:56pm: A 20-year-old male subject, wanted, was observed and taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

South/Missing Adult – 4:30pm: A 33-year-old female subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.

West/Domestic Disturbance – 4:33pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct (2 counts), domestic battery, and battery.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 11:24pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, criminal damage to property, and 2nd degree reckless endangering safety.

Priority calls only from 2:44am-3:29am due to calls for service.

Central/Trespass – 12:47am: Officers responded to a report of 3 subjects trespassing. Two subjects located. A 15-year-old male subject was released with restorative justice referrals for trespassing and obstructing. A 17-year-old male subject was arrested for trespassing and obstructing.

Central/Stolen Auto – 7:42am: A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

Midtown/Check Person – 10:17am: Officers responded to a request for an emergency detention of a subject. Final outcome/placement pending. *Local placement secured.

East/Sexual Assault – 12:30pm: A victim reported being sexually assaulted. Investigation continuing.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 4:33pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 48-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and resisting.

Central/Disturbance – 9:18pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 57-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct with a hate crime enhancer (2 counts) and threats to law enforcement.

Central/Domestic Disturbance – 11:04pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 55-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, domestic disorderly conduct, obstructing, and criminal trespassing.
