The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 7/9/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 7/10/2024, MPD received 488 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (84),East (109), Midtown (76), North (80), South (51), West (69), and Other (19). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

East/Death Investigation – 7:39am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (54-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy pending.
East/Stolen Auto – 8:14am: A vehicle was reported stolen overnight. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 4:02pm: A 38-year-old female subject was involved in a disturbance and arrested on a probation/parole warrant.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 4:27pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 58-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct.
West/Adult Arrested Person – 7:13pm: A wanted subject (33-year-old male) was located and taken into custody. An additional charge of resisting was added for the subject.
South/Disturbance – 10:20pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 27-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for violation of a no-contact order and felony bail jumping.
North/Disturbance – 11pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 52-year-old male subject. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
