The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 7/24/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 7/25/2024, MPD received 479 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (78),East (92), Midtown (75), North (89), South (70), West (63), and Other (12). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 2:36pm to 4:07pm due to calls for service.

East/Runaway Juvenile – 4:08am: A 13-year-old female subject was reported as a runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as a runaway in the appropriate databases.

North/Disturbance – 5:11am: Officers responded to a report of an unknown subject banging on the door of a residence. The subject pointed a gun at one of the residents. Investigation continuing.

North/Juvenile Arrest – 11:06am: A 15-year-old female subject was arrested on a capias. The subject was conveyed to the Juvenile Reception Center.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 2:19pm: Officers responded to an assist EMS/Fire complaint. A 29-year-old male subject was arrested for 2 counts of disorderly conduct (one for today's incident and for a previous incident).

North/Disturbance – 8:10pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and strangulation.

Midtown/Arson – 11:19pm: Officers responded to a report of several juveniles starting a large fire in the parking lot near University Row/Silvertree Run. MFD extinguished the fire. Investigation continuing.
