The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 8/29/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 8/30/2024, MPD received 520 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (113),East (98), Midtown (79), North (71), South (69), West (79), and Other (11 ). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 9:45am to 1:18pm due to calls for service.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 3:34am: A 64-year-old female subject was arrested for resisting and violating a court order.
West/Adult Arrested Person – 9:40am: Officers responded to a report of an unwanted subject (29-year-old male) trespassing. The subject was arrested for two outstanding warrants and cited for obstructing, trespassing, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Midtown/Check Person – 12:06pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was conveyed to a local hospital for an evaluation. Final outcome pending. *Emergency detention sought/declined. The 39-year-old male subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
East/Death Investigation – 3:20pm: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (58-year-old male). Lifesaving measures were attempted but not successful. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 6:27pm: Traffic stop conducted. A 35-year-old male subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a probation violation. A 43-year-old female subject was arrested for possession of meth and a probation violation. A 48-year-old male subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing.
East/Missing Adult – 10:16pm: A 59-year-old male subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The subject was entered as missing in the appropriate databases.
South/Crash – 10:38pm: Officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash with the driver (41-year-old male) fleeing the scene. A passenger remained on scene with numerous non-life threatening injuries. The driver was located and arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (3rd offense), hit-and-run crash causing injury, and operating after revocation.
West/Adult Arrested Person – 10:59pm: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (33-year-old male). The subject was revived by EMS. The subject was arrested for possession of drugs (fentanyl pills) and a probation hold.
