The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 9/4/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 9/5/2024, MPD received 496 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (104),East (111), Midtown (79), North (81), South (64), West (51), and Other (6). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

North/Intoxicated Driver – 5:15am: A traffic stop was conducted. Marijuana was observed in plain view. A 75-year-old male subject was processed for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense) and cited for non-registration of vehicle. A 54-year-old female subject was arrested for possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 10:31am: Officers responded to a threats complaint involving a 39-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
Midtown/Disturbance – 4:46pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct, and cited for trespassing.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 4:58pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for physical abuse of a child and disorderly conduct.
East/Disturbance – 5:30pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 38-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
South/Death Investigation – 8:13pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (55-year-old female). Evidence of drug use observed. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
West/Adult Arrested Person – 8:36pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, disorderly conduct while armed, and resisting. Stalking letter issued to the subject.
Midtown/Juvenile Arrest – 10:06am: A 16-year-old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
