The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 9/13/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 9/16/2024, MPD received 1,439 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (308),East (263), Midtown (235), North (215), South (157), West (230), and Other (31). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Central/Intoxicated Driver – 2:33am: Officers responded to a crash (W. Johnson St/N Bassett St). A 28-year-old male driver ran a right light and struck another vehicle. No injuries sustained. The driver did not stop when the crash occurred.  A Sergeant observed a vehicle with front end damage and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.

North/Death Investigation – 9:41am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (78-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 9:41am: Officers responded to a report of a 49-year-old male subject trespassing. The subject was arrested for obstructing and cited for trespassing.

West/Drug Incident – 10:04am: Officers responded to a report of a 47-year-old male subject experiencing a drug overdose. The subject was referred to MAARI.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 2:14pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 33-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery.  

North/Disturbance – 3:27pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 47-year-old female subject. Probable cause was developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

West/Child Neglect – 7:51pm: Officers responded to a report of several children that had not been picked up by a guardian.  Attempts made to contact the mother were unsuccessful. Children placed with family members. Probable cause developed to charge/arrest the mother, who remains at-large.

West/Domestic Disturbance – 10:20pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery.

Central/Drug Incident – 12:17am: A traffic stop was conducted. Contraband was observed in plain view. A search of the vehicle yielded pills, fentanyl, and THC. A 43-year-old male subject was arrested for party to a crime possession with intent to deliver Schedule II narcotics, party to a crime possession of narcotic drugs, and a parole hold. A 38-year-old female subject was arrested for possession with intent to delivery Schedule II narcotics and possession of narcotic drugs.

West/Check Area – 1:15am: Officers responded to a report of several subjects in a parking lot with guns. Probable cause developed for charges. Subjects remain at-large.

South/Domestic Disturbance – 2:26am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 41-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery (2 counts), domestic disorderly conduct (2 counts), criminal damage to property, resisting, and felony bail jumping.

East/Check Area – 6:12am: Officers responded to a possible strong armed robbery. Victim reported having cash stolen from them. No injuries sustained. Investigation continuing.

North/Crash – 9:27am: Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash that turned into a physical disturbance. A 69-year-old male subject was cited for failure to yield. A 20-year-old female subject and a 19-year-old female subject were both cited for municipal battery.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 1:17pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, domestic disorderly conduct, resisting, and a DOC hold.

Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 1:47pm: A 38-year-old male subject was arrested for misuse of 911.

Midtown/Disturbance – 1:52pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 24-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for kidnapping, false imprisonment, 2nd degree sexual assault, intimidation of a victim, battery, disorderly conduct, and bail jumping.  

South/Disturbance – 11:45pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 40-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct (2 counts) and resisting.

Priority calls only from 8:56am to 10:21am due to calls for service.

Priority calls only from 3:11pm to 3:59pm due to calls for service.

Central/Drug Incident – 12:22am: A traffic stop was conducted. The driver/vehicle stopped but then fled the scene. The driver (36-year-old male) was later observed getting into another vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted. The driver was arrested for obstruction, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, and a probation hold.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 1:17am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving an 18-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and domestic criminal damage to property.

South/Adult Arrested Person – 1:37am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Central/Disturbance – 2:24am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.

South/Intoxicated Driver – 3:54am: Officers contacted a 30-year-old female subject passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle at an intersection. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 5:28am: Officers responded to a report of a 19-year-old female subject going through someone's vehicle. The subject was arrested for entry to locked vehicle and felony bail jumping.

East/Stolen Auto – 10:09am: A vehicle was reported stolen. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.

Central/Residential Burglary – 3:18pm: Victims reported someone broke into their apartment and stole a wallet and a laptop. Investigation continuing.

Central/Disturbance – 1:51am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 32-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting, obstructing, and an outstanding warrant.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 2:51am: Officers observed a 31-year-old male subject in a vehicle with open intoxicants. The subject was contacted and attempted to flee. The subject was arrested for resisting, trespassing, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
