The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 10/23/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 10/24/2024, MPD received 450 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (77),East (101), Midtown (68), North (83), South (51), West (62), and Other (8). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

City-Wide/Strong Armed Robbery – 5:05am: A victim reported being physically assaulted and personal belongings (phone and wallet) stolen by an unknown female subject. The victim sustained visible injuries. Investigation continuing.
Central/Theft – 7:36am: Officers responded to an apartment complex for numerous packages stolen. Investigation continuing.
Midtown/Death Investigation – 7:52am: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (80-year-old female). A do-not-resuscitate order confirmed to be in place. The subject passed away. Nothing suspicious identified. Medical Examiner's office responded.
Central/Sexual Assault – 10:21am: A victim reported being sexually assaulted. Investigation continuing.
Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 11:36am: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance that occurred the night before involving a 43-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for battery to a police officer, criminal damage to property, resisting, and discharge of bodily fluids at a public safety worker.
East/Death Investigation – 3:09pm: Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive subject (84-year-old female) in a vehicle. Lifesaving measures attempted but not successful. Nothing suspicious identified.
West/Missing Juvenile – 3:48pm: A non-verbal minor got off the school bus and ran into a business. Officers located the minor. The minor started to create a disturbance and was uncooperative with the parent and officers. Journey Mental Health consulted. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Final outcome pending.
North/Disturbance – 4:17pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 37-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for obstructing, possession of drug paraphernalia, and an outstanding warrant.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 5:06pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 9:58pm: Officers responded to a report of a 53-year-old male subject threatening to kill people with a stick. The subject was contacted and arrested for disorderly conduct while armed (2 counts) and cited for having open intoxicants.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 10:40pm: A victim reported they lost their debit card and that it was being used. A 44-year-old female subject was identified as a suspect and contacted. The subject was arrested on fraud charges. A second suspect has also been identified and remains at-large.
Central/Property Damage – 10:49pm: Officers responded to a report of numerous windows being shot out at a business. No injuries sustained. Investigation continuing.

Central/Battery – 2:55am: Officers responded to a local hospital after a subject with extensive injuries was dropped off. The subject was transported to another local hospital for treatment. Investigation continuing.
