The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 11/5/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 11/6/2024, MPD received 443 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (77),East (83), Midtown (92), North (71), South (55), West (58), and Other (7). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 10:59pm to 12:36am due to calls for service.
South/Disturbance – 8:41am: Officers responded to a report of a subject being threatened by another subject (known to the caller). No subjects were on scene when officers arrived. Video surveillance reviewed. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
South/Mental Health Response – 12:06pm: Officers responded, along with CARES, to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital where an emergency detention was sought/approved. The subject was placed at a local facility.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 12:15pm: Officers responded to a report of a 41-year-old male subject with an outstanding warrant at the courthouse. The subject resists officers. The subject was arrested for the outstanding warrant and resisting.
East/Missing Adult – 3:19pm: A 69-year-old female subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Silver Alert issued. *Subject located safe.
West/Sexual Assault of a Child – 5:54pm: Officers responded to a delayed report of a child sexual assault. Investigation continuing.
Central/Residential Burglary – 8:42pm: A 42-year-old male subject followed a tenant into an apartment complex and stole a package. The subject was arrested for burglary (2 counts), attempted burglary (2 counts), theft, obstructing, threats to law enforcement, and a DOC warrant. The charges were from this incident and from previous incidents.

Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 2:17am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
