The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 11/8/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 11/11/2024, MPD received 1,225 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (278),East (247), Midtown (173), North (189), South (142), West (179), and Other (17). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

East/Death Investigation – 6:27am: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (82-year-old female). Lifesaving measures attempted but not successful. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 7:38am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 32-year-old female subject. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject.
Central/Crash – 8:10am: Officers responded to a multi-vehicle crash and a home. Investigation continuing.
North/Stolen Auto – 8:48am: A vehicle was reported stolen. Keys were left in the unlocked vehicle. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 9:40am: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a 43-year-old female subject armed with a knife. The subject was arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety and intimidation of a victim. Knife recovered. No injuries reported.
East/Check Area – 10:25am: Officers responded to a report of 4 male subjects damaging a vehicle. The subjects were not on scene when officers arrived. Investigation continuing.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 10:33am: A 31-year-old male subject exposed himself to a community member. The subject was arrested for lewd/lascivious behavior.
East/PNB – 10:51am: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing infant. Lifesaving measures administered. The child regained a pulse and was transported to a local hospital. The child has a history of medical/health concerns.
East/Disturbance – 12:04pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting, and probable cause.
North/Check Area – 12:53pm: A subject reported being assaulted by another male subject who was armed with a gun. Investigation continuing. *Probable cause not developed. A 45-year-old male subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant and possession of fentanyl.
West/Check Person – 2:05pm: Officers received a request to conduct a welfare check on several children. Contact was made with two subjects (31-year-old female and 46-year-old male) who were found to be in violation of their bail conditions. Both were arrested on felony bail jumping charges. Children were placed with a family member.
East/Disturbance – 5:33pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for trespassing, disorderly conduct, possession of meth, possession of fentanyl, felony bail jumping, and a probation hold.
South/Hit-and-Run Crash – 7:55pm: Caller reported that their parked unoccupied vehicle was struck by a driver/vehicle. The driver fled on foot. Investigation continuing. *The driver (40-year-old male) was contacted and arrested for hit-and-run and bail jumping. A 44-year-old female subject was cited for obstructing.
West/Intoxicated Driver – 8:08pm: Numerous callers reported a driver going the wrong way against traffic. The driver (74-year-old male) was contacted and found to be impaired. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense) and open intoxicants.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 11:03pm: Officers responded to a report of an unwanted subject (44-year-old male) who refused to leave the premises of a business. The subject was contacted by officers. The subject attempted to punch an officer. The subject was arrested for battery to law enforcement.

Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 7:12am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 38-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, battery, bail jumping, and a probation hold.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 10:05am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 39-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
West/Retail Theft – 12:35pm: Officers responded to a retail theft in progress. Suspect not on scene when officers arrived. Investigation continuing.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 2:24pm: A traffic stop was conducted and the driver (27-year-old male) fled. MPD did not pursue. The subject was later located and arrested for eluding, a probation hold, and several traffic citations. A 53-year-old female subject was arrested on outstanding warrants.
East/Disturbance – 3:45pm: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a 56-year-old male subject. The subject was cited for battery and disorderly conduct.
Midtown/Mental Health Conveyance – 3:54pm: Officers responded to a group home for a resident attacking staff and throwing things. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an emergency detention evaluation. The subject was subsequently transported to Winnebago.
North/Check Area – 7:21pm: Officers received a report of what sounded like numerous shots fired. Areas checked (Novick Drive/Warner Park area) and no evidence of shots fired located.
South/PNB – 9:31pm: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (64-year-old female). The subject was pronounced deceased. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.
Central/Traffic Arrest – 10:49pm: A traffic stop was conducted after the driver (28-year-old female) was observed driving the wrong way. A loaded handgun was in the vehicle. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. The 26-year-old male passenger was cited for obstructing.

North/Adult Arrested Person – 4:55am: Officers located several vehicles that had been gone through. A 32-year-old female subject was detained. The subject was arrested for attempted entry into locked vehicle and bail jumping (3 counts). Investigation continuing.
City-Wide/Missing Adult – 6:03am: A 29-year-old female subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.
West/Non-Residential Burglary – 7:20am: A convenience store was damaged overnight. Investigation continuing.
North/Disturbance – 11:11am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 41-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, and resisting.
East/Disturbance – 12pm: Officers received a report of a battery involving a 36-year-old male subject. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject. Investigation continuing.
South/Adult Arrested Person – 4:15pm: A 61-year-old male subject was consuming alcohol in a bus stop, where they are also banned from. The subject was arrested for bail jumping, threats to law enforcement, and disorderly conduct.
South/Intoxicated Driver – 4:24pm: Officers made contact with a 63-year-old male subject who was determined to be impaired and had just been driving. The subject was provided an order-in for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense) and possession of meth.
West/Check Person – 4:27pm: Officers responded to a local hospital reference a possible suicidal subject. The subject was admitted voluntarily and officers disengaged.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 6:32pm: A driver/vehicle fled at a high rate of speed after observing an officer. The officer located the vehicle. The passenger (22-year-old female) attempted to casually walk away and then ran once the officer advised her to stop. The passenger was apprehended and arrested for resisting and a probation hold. The driver remains at-large.
East/Check Area – 7:50pm: Officers responded to the 800 block of N. Thompson Drive for reports of shots fired. Casings located. No injuries or property damage reported at this time.
South/Disturbance – 9pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for resisting.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 9:40pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 36-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and disorderly conduct.
