The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

11/22

Priority calls only from 4:33pm to 6:35pm due to calls for service.

East/Battery – 6:40am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large. *Subject taken into custody in another jurisdiction. Subject transported to jail (substantial battery, DOC warrant).

Midtown/Check Person – 10:09am: Officers responded to an incident with a subject swinging a knife and possible injuries sustained. A victim is located and transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The victim was a reported runaway and had an outstanding capias. After medical treatment was obtained, the juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Reception Center. A 32-year-old male subject inside the residence was not cooperative. A gun was observed. SWAT/negotiators responded. The subject was taken into custody without incident for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety and disorderly conduct while armed.  

East/Intoxicated Driver – 12pm: A traffic stop was conducted and the driver (56-year-old female) was found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (4th offense).

Midtown/Mental Health Conveyance – 12:24pm: A subject with a Chapter 51 return was taken into protective custody. After a medical clearance was obtained, the subject was transported to Winnebago.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 4:03pm: Officers responded to a threats complaint involving a 23-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

West/Check Person – 5:32pm: Officers responded to a group home for a homicidal/suicidal subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital voluntarily.  Officers disengaged. *Emergency detention later sought/approved. Subject transported to Winnebago.

East/Runaway Juvenile – 10:24pm: A 13-year-old female subject was reported as a runaway. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The juvenile was listed in the appropriate databases as missing/runaway. *Juvenile returned home.

Priority calls only from 1:34am to 4:02am due to calls for service.

Priority calls only from 5:38pm to 6:17pm due to calls for service.

South/Domestic Disturbance – 4:52am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 38-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic simple battery and misdemeanor bail jumping.

West/Domestic Disturbance – 9:54am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 47-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery.

Midtown/Theft from Auto – 10:49am: A caller reported cash and personal items stolen from their vehicle. Investigation continuing.

Midtown/Disturbance – 2:11pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 49-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, threats to law enforcement, and misdemeanor bail jumping.

West/Intoxicated Driver – 2:42pm: Officers responded to a crash involving an impaired driver (28-year-old female). There was a child in the vehicle, uninjured. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense with a passenger) and child neglect. The driver was also issued several traffic citations.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 4:59pm: A wanted subject (37-year-old male) was located and contacted. The subject was not cooperative with officers, actively resisted, and was able to retreat back into his residence. MPD disengaged. Additional charges forthcoming, in addition to the outstanding warrant.

North/Armed Robbery – 5:09pm: Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery (delay in reporting of the incident). Cash reported to have been stolen from the victim. Areas checked. Investigation continuing.

East/Adult Arrested Person – 7:23pm: Officers responded to a business for a report of a subject (48-year-old male) drinking alcohol and being armed with two guns. The subject was contacted via a traffic stop and subsequently arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, going armed while intoxicated, and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 9:29pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 50-year-old male subject (no longer on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

Central/Domestic Disturbance – 10:23pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 34-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery.

North/Adult Arrested Person – 11:41pm: A stolen vehicle was observed occupied in a business parking lot. Two subjects contacted and they both lied to officers about their identities. A 26-year-old female subject was arrested for obstruction, receiving stolen property, bail jumping, and several warrants. A 29-year-old female subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent, obstruction, receiving stolen property, and several warrants.

Priority calls only from 3:18am to 6:58am due to calls for service.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 12:21am: A 68-year-old male subject was arrested for lewd/lascivious behavior, disorderly conduct, and possession of cocaine.

Central/Disturbance – 2:40am: Officers responded to a disturbance where a handgun was reportedly displayed. The handgun was located and seized. A 21-year-old female subject was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct. A 21-year-old male subject was arrested on a probation/parole hold.  

North/Intoxicated Driver – 6:16am: Officers responded to a report of a driver/vehicle driving aggressively and crashing. The 24-year-old male driver was found to be impaired. The driver was processed for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense), inattentive driving, operating without a driver's license, and operating without insurance.

South/Domestic Disturbance – 9am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 28-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct (2 counts), domestic battery (2 counts), domestic false imprisonment (2 counts), and domestic intimidation of a victim.

East/Runaway Juvenile – 9:22am: A chronic runaway was observed by MFD and called into dispatch. Officers confirmed that the juvenile was missing/runaway. The juvenile was contacted and returned home.

Midtown/Disturbance – 2:50 pm: Officers responded to a local hospital for a disturbance. Staff reported a patient was becoming combative. Woman was arrested for battery to a health care provider and disorderly conduct. 

North/OWI Arrest/Intoxicated Driver – 3:11 pm: Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash. No injuries were reported. One driver showed sign of impairment and was processed for 1st-offense OWI and released to a responsible party. Incident report completed. 

North/Weapons Offense – 7:11 pm: A man arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. The man said the shooting occurred early Sunday morning. Investigation ongoing. Incident report completed. 

Central/Domestic Disturbance – 11:27 pm: A man and woman got into a disturbance. Suspect arrested for domestic battery.

Central/Disturbance – 11:52 pm: The suspect struck a person in a parking lot. A weapon was also displayed during this argument. The suspect and another person then went inside a building. Multiple officers and units responded to the scene. Investigation ongoing.

South/Weapons Offense – 2:00 am: A caretaker called police after a male patient became intoxicated and had a weapon. Man was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed. 

From 6:00 a.m. on 11/25/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 11/26/2024, MPD received 448 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (65), East (103), Midtown (79), North (91), South (42), West (63), and Other (5). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 3:29 am. Officers responded to a residence where the 40-year-old male suspect battered the victim. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery. (This was a late call that did not make the previous 24-hour cycle.)

SOUTH: Road Rage – 8:44 am. Officers responded to the beltline at Fish Hatchery Rd where a man reported that a vehicle cut him off and an argument ensued between the two drivers. Officers did not develop probable cause for an arrest or citation.

CENTRAL: Domestic Disturbance – 11:47 am. Officers responded to a residence where the victim reported that the 20-year-old female suspect physically attacked him while armed with a handgun. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for domestic disorderly conduct and battery. Suspect is at large.

CENTRAL: Missing Adult – 3:30 pm. Family members wished to report a 35-year-old man missing. Officers listed the man as missing and aired an ATL.

NORTH: Runaway Juvenile – 4:01 pm. A mom reported her son missing. Officers located the juvenile who was conveyed to the hospital and placed into protective custody. Officers consulted with Journey Mental Health who supported an emergency detention.

NORTH: Sexual Assault of a Child – 4:07 pm. The victim reported that the suspect sexually assaulted her multiple times over the course of several years. Officers ensured there were no immediate safety concerns. Investigation continuing.

NORTH: Stolen Auto – 6:11 pm. Enterprise Rent-A-Car reported a vehicle stolen. Officers listed the vehicle as stolen and aired an ATL.

EAST: Runaway Juvenile – 7:41 pm. Officers took a report of a missing 14-year-old girl. The girl was listed as missing and an ATL was aired.

EAST: Trespass – 12:27 am. Employees at Portillo's reported that the 76-year-old female suspect was causing a disturbance and refused to leave. Officers located the suspect at Kwik Trip where she was taken into custody and cited for trespass.

SOUTH: Domestic Disturbance – 12:52 am. Officers responded to a residence where the 22-year-old female suspect punched the victim. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct and battery.

MIDTOWN: Trespass – 1:54 am. Officers responded to St Mary's Hospital where the 20-year-old male suspect caused a disturbance and refused to leave. The suspect was arrested for trespass and disorderly conduct and conveyed to jail.

MIDTOWN: Theft from Auto – 4:28 am. Officers responded to the parking ramp at Meriter Hospital where security reported that the 30-year-old male suspect was pulling on car doors. The suspect was taken into custody. Investigation continuing.
