The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 12/13/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 12/16/2024, MPD received 1,099 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (213),East (244), Midtown (199), North (138), South (109), West (165), and Other (31). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

East/Disturbance – 8:04am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
West/Sexual Assault – 10:13am: Officers received a report of sexual assault of a child. Child Protective Services plugged in. Investigation continuing.
Midtown/Check Person – 10:35am: Officers responded to a check welfare request. The subject was contacted and found with a deep laceration to their neck. The subject was transported to a local hospital for treatment. An emergency detention was sought. Final outcome pending. Criminal charges also forthcoming for animal abuse causing death. Investigation continuing.
Midtown/Runaway Juvenile – 10:35am: A 14-year-old female subject was reported as a runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile has a history of running away. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 2:46pm: Officers responded to a report of a 43-year-old female subject refusing to leave the premises. Officers made contact with the subject and requested she move along. The subject refused and became resistive towards officers. The subject lied about her identity, spit at officers, and continued to be resistive. The subject was arrested for trespassing, obstructing, resisting, battery to law enforcement, and threats to law enforcement.
West/Battery – 6:37pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 40-year-old female subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large. A 37-year-old female subject was arrested for outstanding probable cause for retail theft.
Midtown/Misuse of 911 System – 6:46pm: A 38-year-old male subject called dispatch 28 times in one hour with no need for emergency services. Subject warned that if he did not stop calling that he would be subject to arrest. Calls continued. Attempts were made to locate the subject without success. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject for disorderly conduct and bail jumping. Subject remains at-large.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 10:02pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Victim had visible injuries. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
Central/Disturbance – 11:55pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 36-year-old male subject. The subject resisted officers. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, attempted battery, and obstructing emergency personnel.

East/Crash – 3:14am: Officers responded to a crash. A 36-year-old male subject/driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence causing injury (1st offense) and hit-and-run causing injury.
Midtown/Mental Health Conveyance – 5:51am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. Emergency detention approved. The subject was placed at the local hospital.
East/Disturbance – 7:20am: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large. Investigation continuing.
Central/Missing Adult – 8:21am: A 69-year-old male subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The subject was located safe.
East/Missing Adult – 12:36pm: A 24-year-old female subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.
West/Sexual Assault – 3pm: Officers received a report of sexual assault. Investigation continuing.
South/Child Neglect – 6:21pm: Two young children were found to have been dropped off at an abandoned residence by a 31-year-old male subject. The subject was located hiding. The subject was arrested for felony child neglect (2 counts) and resisting/obstructing (2 counts).
East/Crash – 7:14pm: Officers responded to a crash which involved an intoxicated 28-year-old female driver. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense).
Central/Sexual Assault – 7:25pm: Officers responded to a potential sexual assault. Investigation continuing.
Midtown/Disturbance – 8:02pm: A 63-year-old male subject threatened anther subject and caused a disturbance. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct (2 counts), trespassing, misdemeanor bail jumping, and felony bail jumping.
North/Juvenile Arrest – 11:04pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 16-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 11:30pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 34-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

Central/Check Area – 1:45am: Officers responded to a report of shots fired and sounds of screaming. Areas checked. No evidence of shots fired located.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 1:53am: Officers responded to a report of a 26-year-old male subject exposing himself. The subject was arrested for lewd/lascivious behavior, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and bail jumping.
East/Disturbance – 3:08am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 22-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for battery (2 counts), disorderly conduct, domestic disorderly conduct, and domestic battery.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 4:05am: Officers attempted contact with a vehicle/occupant(s) when the driver/vehicle fled. MPD did not pursue. Another law enforcement agency spotted the vehicle. Tire deflation devices were deployed and successful. A 27-year-old male subject was arrested for eluding and possession with intent to distribute THC.
West/Check Area – 4:49am: Officers responded to reports of shots fired. A casing was recovered. No damage or injured persons located.
Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 7:49am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a 32-year-old female subject causing a disturbance. The subject was arrested for criminal damage to property.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 10:24am: A 44-year-old male subject was called in for checking mailboxes. The subject was contacted and arrested for theft of mail.
Central/Disturbance – 11:27am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 50-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 1:21pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested on felony domestic-related charges.
Central/Crash – 3:11pm: Officers responded to an ambulance (with emergency lights activated)/vehicle crash. A 26-year-old male subject/driver was cited for inattentive driving.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 3:24pm: Offices responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for trespassing.
West/Adult Arrested Person – 5:08pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 17-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 6:18pm: Officers responded to a report of a 33-year-old male subject peering at women in a public restroom. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
East/Adult Arrested Person – 7:59pm: Officers responded to a fight in progress involving a 30-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for substantial battery, disorderly conduct, and bail jumping.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 11:48pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 44-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, domestic battery, and disorderly conduct.
