The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last forty-eight (48) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 12/24/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 12/26/2024, MPD received 536 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (70),East (125), Midtown (82), North (92), South (81), West (76), and Other (10). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Midtown/Death Investigation – 5:56am: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (88-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
East/Death Investigation – 9:30am: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing child. Lifesaving measures attempted but not successful. Child has a history of health/medical concerns. Autopsy scheduled. Investigation continuing.
Central/Disturbance – 2:18pm: Officers responded to a report of a 48-year-old female trespassing. The subject was arrested for trespassing, disorderly conduct, and resisting.
Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 2:26pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 36-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
West/Domestic Disturbance – 3:51pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 17-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed (2 counts).
North/Domestic Disturbance – 6:02pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic criminal damage to property, and a DOC warrant.
Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 6:40pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic battery, and bail jumping.
Midtown/Death Investigation – 6:40pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (22-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Initial cause of death appears to be overdose. Nothing suspicious identified.
South/Trespass – 8:43pm: Officers responded to a report of trespassing at a vacant property. Officers arrived on scene and observed 2 subjects fleeing. Officers apprehended one subject (15-year-old female). The subject was listed as missing/runaway. The subject was arrested for criminal trespass. The second subject remains at-large.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 2:01am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 43-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, battery, and false imprisonment.
West/Domestic Disturbance – 2:12am: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a 24-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed and domestic battery.
East/Battery – 2:43am: Officers responded to a disturbance which resulted in two subjects (33-year-old male and 29-year-old male) being arrested for substantial battery (party to a crime) and disorderly conduct.
Central/Disturbance – 6:27am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed.
West/Check Person – 8:46am: Officers responded to a report of a subject yelling about killing themselves. The subject was contacted and transported to a local hospital for an emergency detention evaluation. Final outcome pending.
South/Domestic Disturbance – 11:02am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 28-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
North/Check Area – 11:50am: Officers responded to the 1500 block of Trailsway for reports of shots fired. Investigation continuing.
East/Death Investigation – 5:19pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (103-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
North/Disturbance – 5:32pm: Officers responded to a report of a 65-year-old male subject yelling, threatening himself, and in possession of a gun. The subject was safely contacted. Mental health provider consulted. The subject was ultimately arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 8:35pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 55-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 9:36pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 49-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for trespassing and criminal damage to property.
Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 10:15pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 55-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 11:31pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 44-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, disorderly conduct, and a probation hold.
