The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 12/26/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 12/27/2024, MPD received 347 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (52), East (77), Midtown (60), North (68), South (48), West (33), and Other (9). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

CENTRAL: Traffic Incident – 5:43 am. Officers responded to the intersection of John Nolen Dr and North Shore Dr where a vehicle remained stationary through three cycles of traffic signals. Officers discovered the 31-year-old male driver passed out at the wheel. When the suspect woke up, he fled the scene in his vehicle. Officers later located the suspect and arrested him for flee/elude.
MIDTOWN: Domestic Disturbance – 7:23 am. Officers responded to a residence where the 41-year-old male suspect pulled the victim by the hair to the ground and damaged her vehicle. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for trespass, domestic disorderly conduct and domestic battery. Suspect is at large.
EAST: Runaway Juvenile – 9:57 am. The mother of a 13-year-old girl reported she had run away. The girl was listed as missing and an ATL was aired.
NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 12:09 pm. Officers responded to a residence where the 61-year-old male suspect brandished an ice breaking tool during an argument. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct while armed and possession of heroin.
NORTH: Death Investigation – 1:35 pm. Officers responded to a residence where a caretaker discovered a 60-year-old man deceased. Nothing suspicious on scene.
CENTRAL: Trespass – 4:12 pm. Officers responded to a bar where the male suspect was present despite being banned. The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct, threats to law enforcement, resisting and bail jumping.
EAST: OMVWI – 4:55 pm. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that narrowly missed an officer on a call at the intersection of E Washington Ave and N Fair Oaks Ave. The 38-year-old female driver was arrested and charged with OWI 1st, recklessly endangering safety, and resisting.
CENTRAL: PNB Response – 6:09 pm. Officers responded to a bar where a 59-year-old man abruptly went PNB. MFD paramedics transported the man to the hospital.
CENTRAL: Disturbance – 9:22 pm. Officers responded to a bar where the 31-year-old male suspect, who was banned from the premises, was yelling at staff and customers. The suspect was arrested and charged with trespass, disorderly conduct, and obstructing.
NORTH: Domestic Disturbance – 10:53 pm. Officers responded to a residence where the 51-year-old female suspect threatened the victim. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
WEST: Domestic Disturbance – 11:07 pm. Officers responded to a residence where the 33-year-old male suspect threatened the victim with a handgun and locked her in a room. The suspect was arrested and charged with false imprisonment, disorderly conduct while armed, and drug possession.
EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 11:11 pm. Officers responded to a residence for a noise complaint. Officers learned that the 54-year-old male suspect had warrants for his arrest. The suspect was conveyed to jail.
EAST: Traffic Stop – 11:57 pm. Officers observed a vehicle involved in a previous hit and run which had fled multiple attempted traffic stops. Officers lay spike strips while the vehicle was parked at a gas station but the 21-year-old female suspect drove over the spikes which did not deflate the tires. Officers developed probable cause for new charges of flee/elude, 2nd degree reckless endangerment and bail jumping.

SOUTH: Disturbance – 1:17 am. Officers responded to a residence where the 25-year-old female suspect was not welcome. The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.
