The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 12/27/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 12/30/2024, MPD received 993 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (205),East (217), Midtown (151), North (187), South (107), West (110), and Other (16). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

South/Runaway Juvenile – 7:20am: A 15-year-old female subject was reported as a runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 8:49am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 59-year-old male (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
Central/Death Investigation – 10:57am: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (77-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
East/Disturbance – 11:17am: Officers responded to a report of a subject (31-year-old female) who broke a window and threw a chair. A subject was contacted and detained. A mental health provider was consulted for an emergency detention, which was not approved. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and domestic criminal damage to property.
North/Death Investigation – 2:39pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject (66-year-old male). The subject was located deceased. Nothing suspicious identified.
East/Traffic Arrest – 3:35pm: A traffic stop was conducted. The driver/subject (54-year-old male) fled on foot but was apprehended. The subject was arrested on outstanding warrants, bail jumping, a probation hold, resisting, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Central/Adult Arrested Person – 4:24pm: A 27-year-old female subject, wanted, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and probable cause for retail theft.
Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 8:45pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
West/Adult Arrested Person – 11:15pm: Officers responded to a report of a 33-year-old male subject experiencing a drug overdose. The subject obtained medical attention and was arrested on a DOC warrant and possession of heroin.
Central/Domestic Disturbance – 11:56pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 23-year-old male subject. A mental health provider was consulted. The subject was transported to a local hospital and admitted for medical/health concerns. Criminal charges forthcoming for domestic disorderly conduct, resisting, and felony bail jumping. *Subject released from the hospital and transported to jail.

Central/Non-Residential Burglary – 7:52am: Items were reported stolen from a business. Investigation continuing.
Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 8:41am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 43-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, domestic disorderly conduct, and domestic criminal damage to property.
South/Domestic Disturbance – 9:39am: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Subjects involved were uncooperative with officers. Probable cause developed to arrest a 25-year-old female subject for domestic disorderly conduct.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 12:51pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving an 18-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, and felony bail jumping.
South/Death Investigation – 1:24pm: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (56-year-old male). Lifesaving measures attempted but not successful. Autopsy scheduled. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.
Central/Mental Health Conveyance – 3:34pm: A subject was transported from jail to a local hospital for a medical clearance prior to a mental health conveyance/placement at Winnebago. Transport pending. *Transport to Winnebago completed.
South/Disturbance – 8:05pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 40-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, trespass after notification, and resisting.

Central/Domestic Disturbance – 2:58am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 22-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for substantial battery, battery, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct.
West/Domestic Disturbance – 4:32am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic battery and a probation hold.
West/Domestic Disturbance – 7:16am: Officers responded to a disturbance. A subject was taken into protective custody, transported to a local hospital, and evaluated for an emergency detention. Transport to Winnebago pending. Criminal charges also forthcoming.
West/Domestic Disturbance – 8:50am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
Central/Sexual Assault – 12:05pm: A victim reported being sexually assaulted. Probable cause developed to arrest a 29-year-old male subject, who remains at-large. Charges – second degree sexual assault, theft, authorized use of ID, disorderly conduct, and felony bail jumping. *Subject taken into custody.
Midtown/Intoxicated Driver – 1:55pm: Officers responded to a report of a 31-year-old female subject/driver who was likely intoxicated and attempting to leave in a vehicle. The subject was contacted and found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (4th offense).
East/Death Investigation – 1:58pm: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (58-year-old female). Lifesaving measures attempted but not successful. Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns. Nothing suspicious identified. Autopsy pending.
West/Check Person – 2:31pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was contacted, transported to a local hospital, and was admitted through an emergency detention.
East/Disturbance – 6:17pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 42-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and carrying a concealed weapon.
North/Adult Arrested Person – 6:56pm: Officers responded to a report of a 23-year-old male subject who pushed a subject to the ground and attempted to take their purse. Another subject became involved and tackled the subject/suspect, who then fled on foot (without the purse). The subject was located nearby and taken into custody. The subject was arrested for attempted strong armed robbery, battery to elderly person, battery, disorderly conduct (2 counts), bail jumping, fleeing, and an outstanding warrant.
East/Check Person – 10:32pm: Officers responded to check the welfare of a subject who was sending videos of themselves with a gun to their head. The subject was contacted and transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Final outcome pending.
