The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Monday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 1/10/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 1/13/2025, MPD received 1,120 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (167),East (259), Midtown (185), North (205), South (126), West (152), and Other (26). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 3:35pm: Officers responded to a report of a 37-year-old female subject trying door handles in the 700 block of E. Johnson St. The subject was contacted and taken into custody on an outstanding citation for trespassing. The subject was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping.
South/Check Person – 3:51pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was taken into protective custody and conveyed to a local hospital for an evaluation. Final outcome pending.
North/Violation of a Court Order – 6:07pm: A 43-year-old male subject was arrested, released from jail, and went back to the residence where he was restricted from going to. The subject was arrested for violating a court order.
Midtown/Sexual Assault of a Child – 8:08pm: Offices received a report of a sexual assault of a child. Child Protective Services plugged in. Investigation continuing.
West/Death Investigation – 8:27pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject (47-year-old male). Entry made to the residence and the subject was located deceased. Nothing suspicious identified.
East/Injured Person – 8:28pm: Officers responded to a report of a subject shot in the leg. Officers applied a tourniquet and the subject was transported to a local hospital. Investigation continuing.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 8:59pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 39-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested on a probation hold and resisting.
South/Check Person – 9:18pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital and voluntarily left in the care of medical staff.
Midtown/Death Investigation – 10:30pm: Officers responded to a report of a self-inflicted gunshot wound/death of an 86-year-old male subject. Nothing suspicious identified.

East/Stolen Auto – 4:07am: A vehicle was reported stolen and later located by McFarland PD. Vehicle returned to its owner.
South/Adult Arrested Person – 8:47am: Officers responded to a hotel for a trespassing complaint involving a 43-year-old female subject. The subject was contacted and found to have drugs on her. The subject was arrested for possession of fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony bail jumping.
East/Domestic Disturbance – 12:45pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 49-year-old female subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation/treatment of an injury that occurred during the disturbance. Criminal charges forthcoming.
East/Strong Armed Robbery – 3:08pm: A 61-year-old male subject walked into a business and asked the employee at the counter for money. The subject left, but returned again later, asking for money again. The subject walked behind the counter and accessed the safe. The subject attempted to leave with money. Officers arrived and arrested the subject for strong armed robbery, disorderly conduct, resisting, and battery.
South/Weapons Offense – 6:44pm: Two victims reported that they were held at gunpoint for hours. This occurred while they were trying to buy alcohol from a subject whom they only had a first name for. Investigation continuing.
West/Disturbance – 7:01pm: A 34-year-old male subject pushed a subject off a bike and battered them for unknown reasons. The subject was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct.
Central/Check Person – 8:32pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. Attempt to locate aired. Phone ping conducted. Contact not made with the subject at this time. *Subject located and found to be safe.
South/Domestic Disturbance – 9:32pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 27-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety and disorderly conduct with a domestic enhancer.
North/Disturbance – 11:24pm: Officers responded to a report of a 35-year-old male subject banging on doors and attempting to get into a residence. The subject was contacted and was not cooperative with officers. The subject was arrested for trespassing, disorderly conduct, and battery to law enforcement.
North/Trespassing – 10:52pm: Officers responded to a clinic for a 28-year-old male subject refusing to leave the premises. The subject was arrested for trespass to medical facility and threats to law enforcement.
Central/Disturbance – 11:25pm: A 42-year-old male driver caused a disturbance and assaulted a Lyft driver. The subject was arrested for resisting, resisting, and battery.

Central/Intoxicated Driver – 2:08am: Officers located a 30-year-old male subject passed out in the front seat of a running front end loader in a secured construction site. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense) and cited for trespassing.
East/Disturbance – 6am: Officers responded to a report of a 51-year-old male subject attempting to get into multiple vehicles that were occupied. The subject was cited/released for two counts of disorderly conduct due to medical admittance the subject required.
Midtown/Disturbance – 10:36am: Officers responded to a disturbance. The subject was placed into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for an emergency detention evaluation. Transport to Winnebago pending. Criminal charges also forthcoming. *Transport to Winnebago pending.
West/Death Investigation – 12:21pm: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (69-year-old male subject). Nothing suspicious identified.
Midtown/Adult Arrested Person – 3:14pm: A 20-year-old male subject was contacted about a pending case. Probable cause was developed and the subject was arrested for domestic criminal damage to property.
Midtown/Crash – 3:34pm: A 26-year-old male driver/subject crashed into a street sign. The subject left the area, parked his car, and went to work. The subject was contacted and arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense).
West/Domestic Disturbance – 8:26pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 31-year-old male subject. Attempts were made to make contact with the subject, but he would not respond. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
North/Domestic Disturbance – 11:46pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 32-year-old male subject (not on scene when officers arrived). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 1:54am: A traffic stop was conducted. Three occupants were removed from the vehicle. A frisk of the vehicle located a stolen gun. A 21-year-old female subject and a 17-year-old male subject were arrested for obstructing, possession of a stolen firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon. The male subject received a party to a crime charge on the gun charges at this time.
West/Check Person – 3:18am: Officers received a request to check the welfare of an intoxicated subject armed with a gun. Officers made contact with the subject. No gun was confirmed to be present. Plans made to separate the two subjects for the night. Officers disengaged.
